Arthur Park

Arthur Park

Consultant – BE (Civil) (Hons), PhD, FEngNZ, CPEng, IntPE

Arthur Park’s contribution to the Wellington skyline stretches back more than 40 years. He set up his own structural consultancy in 1978 and then merged his practise seven years later to form Clendon Burns & Park.

In that time he has established a reputation for his commitment to quality, which can be seen in landmark projects such as the 10 storey Duxton Hotel in the heart of Wellington, the West Plaza Hotel and the city’s most established girls’ college, Samuel Marsden in Karori.

Arthur’s work on Wellington’s world-leading post production film studio and sound stage at Park Road Post in Miramar demonstrated he is still at the leading edge.

As well as holding a Doctorate from Canterbury University, Arthur is a fellow of Engineering NZ and has held the presidency of the Association of Consulting Engineers of New Zealand. He is currently Chairman of the CEAS Board.

He has also been instrumental in helping Clendon Burns & Park to become one of the most trusted names in structural engineering here in Wellington and New Zealand.
